Foldin' Bed
Whistler's Jug Band from Louisville, Kentucky was one of the first jug bands to record commercially, starting in 1924 (just three days after Sara Martin recorded with a jug band lineup including Clifford Hayes and Earl McDonald). Although their recording career dwindled before the peak of jug band music's popularity around 1930, they're well-known today thanks to a rare newsreel clip they filmed in 1930 that still survives and is available on DVD and YouTube. Foldin' Bed, a.k.a. Tear It Down, is about finding your woman cheating on you and taking the bed apart to make sure it doesn't happen again.
