Back in business
1 Mar 2001It took a little too long, but hopefully it was worth the wait. My site has now been completely reassembled at my new web host, including the online ordering pages. Go buy a CD and help me celebrate!
Rebuilding...
25 Feb 2001Okay, I've moved to my new web host, and am getting my site back together a little at a time. Right now it looks like everything is back to normal, with the significant exception of my online ordering pages, which I hope to have working again by the middle of the week.
A big thanks goes out to McKenna, a frequent visitor to arlotone.com and trunkstock.com, for thoroughly reviewing my site this weekend and emailing me several pages that were still broken. Rock on, McKenna!
Meltdown!
21 Feb 2001I'm not sure what happened, but the usually reliable ISP that had been hosting this site since 1996 suddenly went kaput earlier this week. After 24 hours of no arlotone.com, I quickly opened an account with Datarealm, with whom I've had the pleasure to set up several other sites in the last year. After another day to wait for my domain name to transfer over, I'm now settling into my new digs and making sure all my files got uploaded okay.
I'm still working on the online ordering pages, which might not be available until this weekend. If you find a dead link anywhere else, please let me know!
The evolution of the mailing list
1 Dec 2000From my first web site in 1996 to the video-enhanced sampler CD I started distributing last week, I've never been suspected of any Luddite tendencies. But I've remained technologically conservative with my mailing list since I started sending out postcards to my fans five years ago.
Well, the time has finally come to upgrade to a primarily electronic mailing list! This will save me time and money, and will allow me to promote some of the short-notice gigs that don't merit their own postcard. And all you have to do to join is click right here!
